In Kurulus Osman Episode 39, Ertugrul says he knows everything and asks others why they want to be Bey. Later, Ertugrul sends his sons and Dundar out of the tent and starts talking to his comrades. After the meeting, Targun goes to Osman’s tent and shows him the poison Nikola gave her. Osman calms everyone down and tells Targun what she had to say to Nikola one by one. Ertugrul calls his sons and Dundar again after a short meeting. Ertugrul first asks Osman questions about Geyhatu and then Yavlak. Osman tells his father what he did. Thereupon, Ertugrul starts asking questions to Savci. Savci begins to complain about Osman, and Dundar agrees with what he said.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 39, Ertugrul says that they have to finish Nikola before Geyhatu arrives, and from now on, he will announce the new Bey. Ertugrul asks everyone in the meeting what kind of attack should be done and listens to their answers. Osman disagrees with what his brothers say and tells him that before they can attack Inegol Fortress, they must ambush Nikola’s soldiers. Targun goes to Osman’s tent and thanks to him for what he did. Ertugrul comes when Abdurrahman and Bamsi talk about him.

As Savci is about to kill Flatyos, Gunduz stops him because they need to learn information from him. Ertugrul goes to talk to white beards and tells them that he is about to die. The leader of white beards asks who will replace Ertugrul. Ertugrul says that a person who is not tired of fighting must be the leader, and that person is Osman. On the way back to the plain, Osman meets Kumral Abdal and listens to what he says.

Dundar says that Ertugrul will announce the new leader soon, but Hazal is very uncomfortable with this situation and says that if Dundar will not be the new Bey, Ertugrul must die. Everyone in the meeting gets very upset about this situation and starts to cry. News of Ertugrul’s death deeply upset everyone on the plain. Flatyos hears that Ertugrul is dead and is upset that he could not kill him.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 39, Flatyos says that instead of Ertugrul, he will kill his entire family. Meanwhile, a long prayer is made for Ertugrul’s funeral, and Ertugrul’s horse’s tail is tied. Savci says that Ertugrul likes Osman the most. Thereupon, Osman hugs his brother the Savci. Bamsi starts talking about Ertugrul and explains how good a person he was. Selcan is very upset about Ertugrul’s death and prays for him over and over again. Bala tries to comfort Selcan. Osman goes where his father’s sword and hat are and cries.
